Obstetric midwifery care provides support before, during, and after pregnancy. Your certified midwife monitors your health and your baby’s development, provides prenatal care, helps you prepare for labor and delivery, and continues caring for you during the postpartum period.
Midwifery also gives you an active role in your care. Appointments are an opportunity to ask questions, discuss your preferences, and better understand your options so you can make informed decisions about your pregnancy and birth.
